Borges Late Harvest Dão White 2023

Borges Late Harvest Dão White 2023

The late harvest of selected grapes, affected by noble rot, took place in mid-October. The bunches were destemmed and gently crushed, followed by a cold maceration lasting five days. After pressing, the must remained at low temperature for an additional 24 hours. It was then statically decanted and transferred to used French oak barrels, where it slowly fermented throughout the winter, developing its full complexity and elegance.

Tasting Notes
Appearance - Bright amber color.
Aroma - The nose is rich and complex, with exuberant notes of apricot compote and quince marmalade, wrapped in delicate hints of dried fruits. Touches of honeycomb, tangerine peel, and a subtle vanilla background lend depth and elegance to a seductive and harmonious bouquet.
Taste - On the palate, this late harvest reveals an enveloping and well-balanced sweetness, lifted by a vibrant acidity that brings freshness and harmony. Flavors of candied fruits, such as apricot and marmalade, are accompanied by a touch of honey and gentle spices. The finish is long and persistent, marked by a light note of orange peel, leaving a velvety and complex sensation.
