Quinta dos Bons Ares is located in the region of Douro Superior, in the Vila Nova de Foz Côa municipality. This estate (Quinta) has a very special terroir, where the granitic soil and its
altitude give the grapes an acidity and aromatic potential, unusual in this region. Beyond these characteristics, another particularity of this wine is its blend: between the New and Old World,
between traditional grape varieties (Touriga Nacional and Franca) and international ones, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, between lagares and stainless steel machines. This wine from Casa Ramos Pinto is a true example of innovative tradition. A modern classic.

Grape Varieties

45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Touriga Nacional e 15% Touriga Francesa.

Tasting Notes
Appearance -  Clean and bright ruby color.
Aroma - Great vivacity and freshness on the nose, where aromas of red fruits, such as strawberries and currants, and the freshness of freshly cut grass. Deeper, ripe and sweet aromas, such as violets, and subtle aromas of evolved, like jam.

Taste - At the entrance of the mouth the lightness and elegance stand out, fruit stands out red, the finish is vibrant and long and the acidity is perfectly involved with ripe tannins. This is a wine with a vast complexity of polished and refined aromas, with great aging potential, both due to the time spent in the cellar and in the bottle. Undoubtedly another Douro, not only for its soil and altitude, but also for the grape varieties that originates.
